SEBASTIAN COUNTY, Ark. — An inmate at the Sebastian County Detention Center escaped while working as a kitchen trusty, but was quickly captured Monday.

Randall Joe Wayne Myers, 22, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree escape after deputies with the Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office located him four blocks away from the Detention Center, according to a news release issued by Maj. Kevin Nickson of the Sheriff’s Office.

Myers was serving as a trusty in the kitchen of the Detention Center, working off his misdemeanor $200 fine, while other inmates were working in the dock area. Myers fled through the dock door, according to the news release.
