SANTA CLARA COUNTY, Calif. — Authorities captured a Santa Clara County convict Sunday who walked away from a Klamath minimum security prison camp Friday, authorities said.
State prison agents took Justin William Hardin into custody around 9 a.m. not far from the Alder Conservation Camp, where he’d been serving a sentence for domestic violence, according to prison authorities. He’d been missing since about 11:30 p.m. Friday.
Doctors checked out Hardin and then he was taken back to a correctional facility in Susanville. He’s been slated for release in November 2013.
Authorities said they have a 99 percent rate of recapturing escaped inmates.
