HANCOCK COUNTY, Ind. – An inmate who fled deputies who were booking him into jail Thursday has been recaptured Friday morning.
Indy Star reports that Anthony Bowling was tracked to an Indianapolis home.
He ran east from the jail on Thursday, escaping through an open garage door while being moved from a jail van into the jail.
He had warrants for his arrest in both Hancock and Johnson counties; those from Hancock were for fleeing law enforcement and failure to pay child support.
He has been an inmate at the jail several times in the past.
