Inmate who exploited jail weakness to escape back in custody

WARREN COUNTY, Ind. — An inmate who escaped from the Warren County jail Saturday, is back in police custody.

Officials in Warren County say 27-year-old Gary M. Conner was captured Tuesday just before 7 p.m. in Fountain County.

Police say Conner was hiding in a wooded area near a residence and camper in a rural part of the county. Officials believe Conner was hiding with Danny “Boone” Horton, who is also a wanted fugitive. Horton is 45 years old, 5'9", and about 230 pounds.
