CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Pillow-and-blanket “dummies” were used to help three inmates try to escape from a West Virginia maximum security prison.
Corrections Commissioner Jim Rubenstein said the inmates evaded a headcount by stuffing pillows and blankets into their beds.
The “dummies” made it appear that the inmates were sleeping.
