MARSHALL CO., Miss. — A massive, multi-state manhunt is underway after an accused killer managed to escape from a Mississippi jail on Sunday.

WHBQ-TV reports that Antoine Adams, 27, was able to push through a plexiglass window and crawled underneath a fence to make his escape from the Marshal County Detention Center. The inmate was caught on video squeezing through the cell window that leads to the outside. He escaped a day before the facility was supposed to undergo major security upgrades.

Marshall County Sheriff Kenny Dickerson believes Adams may have headed back to Memphis, Tennessee, where he grew up, and hid there, WMC Action News reports. Authorities said the inmate is considered a “very dangerous” individual and that people should call police if they see him.

In August, Adams was captured while he was on the run for a murder in Marshall County and two other murders in Memphis.
