NEW YORK — An accused perv escaped from the custody of courthouse guards in Manhattan, only to be caught hours later trying to break into his own apartment.

Derrick Harris, charged with sodomizing a female friend, was hauled back to jail Wednesday morning after cops found him scaling a fence in an attempt to sneak into his Harlem home.

Harris had beaten the woman, then pulled her back inside when she tried to flee through a bathroom window, according to the criminal complaint.

He had been arraigned on charges of a criminal-sex act, sexual abuse, attempted rape, and unlawful imprisonment charges carrying up to 25 years in prison and bail was set at $250,000 cash or $150,000 bond, according to court documents.

But Harris slipped away from his minders soon afterward by simply rising from a courthouse bench and walking out of the building.
