WAUTOMA, Wis. — An escape artist called the “King of Escapists” by Ripley’s Believe It Or Not returned to a Wisconsin county jail for another escape.
Anthony Martin first escaped from the Waushara County jail cell in 1986, according to Fox 11.
He was placed in a straitjacket, strapped to a ladder, and locked behind four steel doors.
Martin was able to escape in two minutes and fifty seconds, beating his time 25 years ago by two minutes.
The historic jail has now been turned into a museum. It is known for housing Ed Gein, the 1950s serial killer who inspired characters in the movies “Psycho” and “Silence of the Lambs.”
