KINGMAN — County supervisors on Monday will discuss another agreement with Bullhead City regarding the cost of city inmates housed at the county jail.

The supervisors will consider a proposal with Bullhead City, Kingman and Lake Havasu City to lower the daily jail cost for the 2013-14 fiscal year to $78 a day per prisoner charged in city court. The one-time booking fee for Bullhead City, Kingman and Lake Havasu City would also be lowered to $60. The agreement expires June 30, 2014. The board currently charges the three cities $80.21 a day per prisoner to house inmates charged in city court. The previous fiscal year rate was $88.82 a day per prisoner.

Increases in recent years led to Kingman and Lake Havasu City to reach agreements with La Paz County, which charges only $65 per inmate per day, to house its inmates.
