STILLWATER, Minn. — The Minnesota Correctional Facility in Stillwater is on its fourth day of lockdown following an inmate brawl.

The Department of Corrections confirmed to KARE that there was a fight between inmates Saturday, but officials declined to provide other details. DOC Spokeswoman Sarah Fitzgerald said no staff or inmates were injured in the fight, but the facility is on lockdown.

“The facility is locked down while the internal investigation is conducted,” she said.

Fitzgerald said the lockdown will remain in place until they discover the cause of the fight.

According to the Star Tribune, the facility houses many of the state’s most violent offenders.
