CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC — Mitch Lucas was sworn in as the president of the American Jail Association on Sunday at an annual training event.
The Post and Courier reports that Lucas was sworn in during the 34th annual training conference in Charlotte, NC, after being elected to the position.
AJA is a national, nonprofit organization that supports the professionals who operate our nation’s jails, according to its website.
Detention Officer Capt. Cavin Harley was also sworn in as a member of the AJA Board of Directors.
