Wash. — Two officers are on leave following a fatal shooting that ended in the death of an ex-convict who was wanted for failing to check in with his community corrections officer.
A community corrections specialist with the Washington Department of Corrections and a veteran Vancouver police detective are both on paid leave pending an investigation into the incident that left Jesse John France Jr. dead.
According to The Colombian, France was shot dead after he rammed the officers’ unmarked police vehicle with his own vehicle.
