BILLINGS — The Montana Department of Corrections announced Thursday the selection of four finalists to replace the outgoing warden at Montana Women’s Prison in Billings.
The four applicants include both of the deputy wardens who have been appointed to oversee daily prison operations after the announced retirement of Warden Jo Acton in March.
The other finalists are a veteran of the New York Department of Correctional Services and a Colorado jail administrator.
The four finalists were selected from 46 applications received by the agency. The finalists will be interviewed in mid-June, agency spokesman Bob Anez said, and a new warden will be announced by July 1.
