NUTLEY, N.J. — The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office says a New Jersey corrections officer killed his girlfriend and then himself.
Police found the bodies of 38-year-old Christopher Minichini and 37-year-old Christina Prestianni in their home in Nutley on Thursday.
Authorities say the preliminary investigation indicates Minichini shot Prestianni and then turned the gun on himself.
Minichini had been a state correctional officer for seven years.
