SALEM, Wis. — An officer died Friday in a single-vehicle crash.
According to the Journal Times, 33-year-old Officer Michael Ventura had his emergency lights activated when his vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a ditch.
The officer was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.
According to ODMP, Ventura served with the Town of Salem Department of Public Safety for two months and served as a corrections officer for several years.
