ST. JOHNS, Mich. — An inmate who stalked a female corrections officer after being released from prison will serve more time.
According to WOOD, James Kenny was sentenced to 12 to 35 years in prison on charges of aggravated stalking, assault with a dangerous weapon, and resisting and obstructing a police officer.
Kenny showed up at the CO’s home in June 2015 armed with a knife. The CO’s boyfriend disarmed Kenny, who fled the scene and spurred a manhunt.
Kenny was later captured after two citizens spotted him and managed to restrain him until an officer arrived.
