INDIANAPOLIS — A male juvenile inmate attacked a female corrections officer at Marion County Juvenile Detention Facility.
The 15-year-old inmate used a shirt to choke the officer Friday night, according to The Indy Channel. She hit her head when he knocked her to the floor. The inmate attempted to attack another corrections officer, but was subdued.
The female CO suffered a concussion in the attack. The inmate faces charges of aggravated battery.
The attack was the second incident Friday involving a Marion County inmate. Wytwaine Jackson assaulted Cpl. Brent Smith at the processing center. Smith suffered a broken nose and teeth, multiple lacerations, memory loss and a concussion.
