MORRISTOWN, N.J. — A corrections officer died Sunday from a gunshot wound.
According to the Daily Record, the Morris County Correctional Facility was locked down after the veteran CO was discovered dead. He was alone at the time of his death and there is no threat to the community, officials said.
The incident is currently under investigation. Jail operations resumed Sunday afternoon, according to the report.
