Texas detention officer killed in car crash

The officer was on his way to work when he lost control of his car and hit a pillar underneath a bridge

DALLAS — A Dallas detention officer was killed in a car crash while on his way to work Wednesday evening.

WFAA reports that 51-year-old Kenneth Luckey, who worked for the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department, was killed when he lost control of his vehicle and hit a pillar underneath a bridge. He was on his way to work before the crash happened, KDFW reports.

Luckey, who was in uniform, was deceased by the time first responders arrived at the scene, KXAS reports.
