SAN JOSE, Calif. — A San Jose women’s shelter desperately in need of funding is getting a boost from a most unlikely place — a California state prison. And it involves a most unlikely item — cellphones. It’s a story you’ll see only on ABC7 News.
A deputy district attorney saw a need at Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence, and decided to help. Some may even say it’s a higher calling.
Johnny Gogo lives up to his name serving as a Deputy District Attorney for the Community Prosecution Unit. He is always networking in his outreach to community organizations, like Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence in San Jose.
The organization partners with the DA’s office as they deal with victims of crimes.
