Calif county, probation officer association reach deal on wage increase

VALLEJO, Calif. — The Solano County Board of Supervisors is set to review a tentative agreement between the county and the Solano Probation Peace Officer Association on Tuesday.

The deal provides a 3 percent wage increase in 2015 and 2016, and also includes increases the county’s contribution toward a cafeteria plan, according to county officials.

The association represents more than 150 employees in the classifications of group counselor, group counselor senior, deputy probation officer, deputy probation officer senior and deputy probation officer supervising.

The tentative deal was reached after a vote of 93-5 within the association.
