DECATUR — The Macon County Probation and Court Services may soon be sporting uniforms when they are out in the field or testifying in court.
The Herald-Review reports that money is being set aside to provide the uniforms that administrators hope will improve the image of the department.
The funding will come as part of a supplement the department receives from the state. The move lso comes as the department looks to transfer $20,000 from a budget line to staff an unfilled officer position into an equipment budget line.
The plan is expected to be discussed at the county’s finance committee Monday.
