HARVEY, La. — A probation officer is receiving praise for finding a bag full of money — and returning it.

Probation Officer Jessica Luebke was leaving the state probation department’s office when she noticed a clear plastic bag full of bundles of bills, according to NOLA. When she realized what she was looking at, she quickly secured it.

The money came from an armored truck that had just left Boomtown Casino, though the probation officer didn’t know that at the time. Officer Luebke and a supervisor waited with the money until deputies could arrive, according to NOLA.

Later on, the armored truck returned while retracing their steps to locate the missing bag of cash. The Sheriff’s Office returned the money, and it was deposited at Capital One Bank within 30 minutes.
