Meet Terrance Williams, professional boxer, probation officer

HERE’S TERRANCE WILLIAMS

* 30 years old

* Moved to Gettysburg from his native Philadelphia when he was in the seventh grade and still resides there.

* Was a three-sport standout at Gettysburg High School, starring in football (wide receiver/defensive back), basketball (guard/forward) and track (sprints).

* Began to box seriously as a student at Shippensburg University, where he earned two degrees. Qualified for college boxing’s national tournament. Later served as one of the coaches for the Shippensburg Boxing Club.

* Sports a 2-0-0 record as a professional boxer.

* Works as a probation officer in Cumberland County.

* Made a successful professional boxing debut on Dec. 21, 2012, at York’s Valencia Ballroom, registering the result when Gavin Hume did not come out of his corner for the third round.
