Firefighters fought the blaze for nearly a half hour before it was under control

TRENTON, NJ — No injuries were reported but 40 people were evacuated from a Department of Corrections halfway house in Trenton late Wednesday.

NJ.com reports that firefighters fought the blaze for nearly a half hour before it was under control.

The cause of the fire is under investigation but has not been deemed suspicious. It was not immediately known if residents were allowed to return to the building.
