BUTTE, Mt. — Police say a Butte Prerelease Center inmate faces a new charge for stealing three boxes of hazelnut coffee.
Kurtis Michael Kresal, 23, is in jail on a parole violation and a misdemeanor charge of theft, according to the Butte jail roster.
Authorities say Kresal shoplifted three boxes of hazelnut Nescafe from Safeway on Massachusetts Avenue on Friday afternoon. An officer responding to a nearby fender bender saw Kresal running from the store and stopped him for questioning.
