Arotech’s IES Interactive Training Delivers Firearms Diagnostic Training Unit to the FBI

FBI receives IES’s exclusive FDU to diagnose and improve shooting skills at FBI Academy in Quantico Virginia

Ann Arbor, Michigan Arotech Corporation announced today that its Simulation & Training Division’s IES Interactive Training has recently installed the latest generation of its industry exclusive Firearms Diagnostic Training Unit (FDU) at the FBI Academy in Quantico Virginia to diagnose and improve the shooting skills of new and veteran agents. The FDU is designed to provide immediate feedback in several key marksmanship skills, enabling instructors and trainees to quickly see and correct deficiencies on the live-fire range.

The FBI is the latest agency to order and receive the FDU system from IES. FDU systems are currently in use with some of the nation’s premier law enforcement and public safety agencies, including the DEA, Federal Air Marshalls, US Marshalls Service, and the TSA. State and local law enforcement agencies that train with the IES FDU systems include the city of Richmond Police Department, Milwaukee PD, and Los Angeles County Sherriff’s department. The FBI will be able to deploy their new FDU out on live ranges with real ammunition, or indoors alongside any of their 62 MILO simulators ordered from IES in 2009 and operating throughout the country in FBI field offices.

“We are pleased that the FBI has placed this order with IES for our industry-exclusive FDU system as a component of their firearms training program” said Robert McCue, IES’s General Manager. “IES has recently upgraded the capabilities of the FDU with a number of new high-tech enhancements. IES maintains the industry’s highest commitment to developing cutting edge training systems, and the FDU is at the forefront of technology in the firearms training market”
