GALESBURG, Ill. — Two correctional officers from the Illinois Department of Corrections were arrested Wednesday for possession of bath salts.
Brian S. Duncan, 41, and Denise M. Duncan, 48, both of Fleisher Road, were charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Family members first contacted police with concerns about the Duncans’ well-being after Brian Duncan made several threats to harm family members, himself and his wife, prosecutors said Thursday.
Family members also told police that the Duncans had been acting suspicious and were ingesting bath salts, which are chemically manufactured with mephedrone, MDPV or methylone, prosecutors said.
