Alias Stone, 47, already serving a seven-year prison term at Wende Correctional Facility for a New York City burglary conviction, was charged with second-degree assault, weapons possession and prison contraband counts after an investigation of a Sept. 21 incident in an Attica prison mess hall.
Stone, who was transferred to Wende after the incident, is charged with using a weapon he made to slash another inmate while both were on a work crew in the mess hall of Cell Block B.
Stone was taken by state troopers for arraignment in Wyoming County Court and transferred to Wende while he awaits further proceedings in the new criminal case.
Yolanda A. King, 23, of Syracuse, was arrested by state troopers Saturday as she allegedly tried to sneak more than 110 grams of packaged marijuana to an Attica inmate. King was arraigned in Attica Town Court on charges of criminal sale of marijuana and promoting prison contraband.
She is being held in Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.
