CANON CITY, Colo. — Four former corrections officers were arrested for alleged drug use at the Colorado State Penitentiary in Canon City.
Steven Ricotta, 26, was accused of taking Percocet pills, a narcotic painkiller, to the prison and sharing them with three co-workers, according to KDVR.
He’s being charged with felony distribution of a controlled substance, felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor use of a controlled substance.
The three officers he shared with have also been arrested for investigation of felony possession of a controlled substance, and misdemeanor use of a controlled substance.
According to the SF Gate, no evidence has been uncovered that the narcotics were given to any inmates.
