MIAMI — A Miami-Dade corrections officer accused of trying to kill her husband has bonded out of jail.
Angelethea Brazil Chestnut was arrested Friday after, police said, she shot her husband in the shoulder. Chestnut has been charged with attempted second degree murder and aggravated battery with a weapon. She bonded out after putting up the $20,000 bond.
Police said Chestnut and her husband had a verbal altercation after he came home from a late night out. That’s when, authorities said, she grabbed the gun and pulled the trigger.
