BROOKLYN, NY — A 43-year-old city correction officer has been arrested for allegedly setting a fire that consumed two floors of a brownstone in Brooklyn Thursday morning, critically injuring four people.
Two people suffered serious injuries and another five received treatment for minor injuries after the blaze at the three-story brownstone on Chauncey Street in Bedford-Stuyvesant. A pet cat was also treated with oxygen after surviving the fire.
Yvette Randolph was charged early Friday with second-degree arson. Information on an attorney for her wasn’t immediately available.
