CENTENNIAL, Colo. — Former Arapahoe County Sheriff Patrick Sullivan will no longer be staying in a jail bearing his name.

The Arapahoe County Commission voted unanimously to remove the Patrick J. Sullivan Detention Center sign from the jail, and it was taken down Tuesday.

KUSA-TV reports that the name will return to the original Arapahoe County Detention Center.

The former Colorado sheriff known for his crusade against youth drug use pleaded guilty earlier this month to charges of trading methamphetamine for sex.
