SAN FRANCISCO — Federal officials say a former Northern California juvenile corrections officers has pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography.
Until he was arrested, 53-year-old Keith Monroe Wallace of Eureka, California was employed by the Humboldt County Juvenile Probation Office.
Wallace admitted he possessed 600 or more visual images of minor under age 12 involved in explicit sexual acts. Some of the images included violence.
Federal agents served a search warrant at his home in February and seized computers and other electronics. He was arrested and later indicted by a federal grand jury in March.
Wallace remains in custody and will be sentenced in September. He faces up to 20 years in prison, a fine of $250,000, and restitution to the victims. His attorney was not immediately available for comment Thursday.
