PITTSBURGH — A suspended guard at Pittsburgh’s state prison has been arrested and accused of intimidating another prison guard at the alleged victim’s home this week.
The arrest of Tory D. Kelly, 39, of Aliquippa, sheds some light on a secretive probe of the prison that has been under way since November.
A police affidavit filed by a detective with the Allegheny County district attorney’s office said corrections officer Curtis Hoffman was one of several staff members interviewed in the course of the investigation into misconduct at the prison in the Woods Run section of Pittsburgh that led to Mr. Kelly’s suspension.
