INDIANA COUNTY, Pa. — An Indiana County Jail guard has been arrested for intimidating an inmate who was providing information during an ongoing investigation of the guard, state police said.
Molly Gross, 43, of Ligonier is accused of intimidation of a witness against inmate Misty Murphy, 30, of Indiana Borough, according to state police at the Indiana barracks.
Police said Gross learned of Murphy’s assistance in the investigation and threatened her over a four-day period.
Gross is being held in the jail she once guarded, according to police.
She was unable to post a $25,000 bond set by District Judge Guy Haberl after she was arrested on Friday, court records show.
State police did not release any information on the investigation. No charges have been filed in connection with the investigation.
