ALLOUEZ, Wis. — A female officer at Green Bay Correctional Institution is being investigated for having sex with a male inmate serving a life sentence.
The 37-year-old woman was confronted by a captain at the maximum-security prison on Sunday morning, according to an affidavit filed Tuesday in Brown County Circuit Court.
Investigators said the woman claimed she was in a relationship with the inmate and the two began talking in May. The woman allegedly first kissed the inmate in July or August and the two began having sex while she was working in October at the prison, 2833 Riverside Drive.
The inmate, 34, is serving a life sentence after being convicted in Milwaukee County of first-degree sexual assault with a dangerous weapon and armed robbery. The inmate is serving consecutive sentences and wouldn’t be eligible for parole until March 2108, state Department of Corrections spokesman Tim LeMonds said.
