HENDERSON, Texas — For the second time in two years, the Texas Department of Criminal Justice is expanding a substance-abuse treatment facility operated by Centerville-based Management & Training Corp. (MTC).
The Texas agency has approved an $11.5 million expansion of the facility in Henderson, 100 miles east of Dallas. The expansion will provide 624 beds at the treatment facility, adding to 1,312 made available in an expansion less than a year ago.
With the latest addition increasing the facility’s total bed count to 2,280, MTC plans to expand its staff there from 365 to more than 500, said MTC spokesman Carl Stuart.
