SANTA ANA, Calif. — Two California inmates each facing murder charges in separate cases tied the knot in a jailhouse wedding on Monday.

The bride, Marissa Star Bilotti, 20, is charged with murder for helping an ex boyfriend shoot and kill a man last year. She is facing 32 years to live in prison, according to KTLA.

The groom, Iftekhar Murtaza, 26, faces the death penalty after being accused of kidnapping the father and sister of his ex-girlfriend, beating them to death and setting their bodies on fire in a park in 2007.

They met behind bars in January, and have been engaged since April.

Corrections officers allowed the couple to exchange vows inside the jail’s visiting room. They weren’t allowed to communicate face-to-face and had to say “I do” by phone, separated by a wall, according to reports.
