MASON CITY, Iowa — A Mason City woman has received a suspended sentence and probation after biting a Cerro Gordo County correctional officer on April 13.
According to Cerro Gordo County Sheriff Kevin Pals, Kimberly Betty Prestby, 24, Mason City, was being booked into the jail when she became uncontrollable and bit correctional officer Jennifer Platts, 29.
The bite did not break the skin and medical treatment was not required.
