ST. CHARLES, MO — St. Charles County authorities stopped a home invasion that was planned after an inmate in the jail bragged about his mother having a safe full of cash in her home.
Another inmate shared the information with the suspects, according to St. Charles Prosecuting Attorney Tim Lohmar.
Lohmar said Rami Abdel-Aal, Joseph Britton and Jason Middendorf planned to break in the home, tie up the woman and break in the safe. He also said they had a shotgun.
However, the suspects allegedly planned the home invasion in the presence of confidential police informant.
