PORT ORCHARD, Wash. — A woman accused of killing a Silverdale woman last November has been charged with promoting prostitution while in jail.

The Kitsap Sun reports that 29-year-old Lorena Llamas was charged Tuesday inKitsap County District Court.

Charges say Llamas fled from police in her vehicle last November and hit another car, killing a woman inside. She’s been charged with second-degree murder and vehicular homicide among other charges.

New charges say that while in jail, Llamas groomed fellow female inmates to become prostitutes, lining up her former boyfriend, Anthony Dewayne Parker, to bail them out. Recorded jail phone conversations between Llamas and Parker, as well as one of the victims, show Llamas profited from the connection when Parker put money the woman earned in Llamas’ jail spending account.
