CHRISTIAN COUNTY, KY — The Christian County Jailer and his Chief Deputy learned what “selfie” means through some uncanny circumstances. Inmates at a Kentucky Prison started facebooking, Instagraming and even tweeting from jail, and they even created a business for it by charging fellow inmates for phone calls.
In the pictures taken from a cell phone career, criminals Timothy Forte and Earl Caldwell can be seen flaunting close to a thousand dollars. No one is quite sure how the phone was smuggled into the jail, but the inmates have been charged with first and second degree contraband after being exposed.
All jailhouse phone calls are monitored and recorded, but the inmates allegedly were charging other inmates to use the cell phone to make calls out.
