LINCOLN, Neb. — A homeless man is returning to jail for harassing a woman by continuously calling her — from jail.
Marvin Snyder, 45, was slapped with a protection order from the unnamed woman in April, according to the Journal Star. Ordered to not contact her in any way except for counseling sessions, Snyder was arrested in May for calling her from jail.
He was sentenced to an additional 60 days behind bars but continued calling her, doing so a dozen times just the next day. Corrections officers told him to stop, but Snyder made an additional four calls the next day.
Snyder was released in June and arrested three days later when the same woman called police, saying that he was at her motel room drinking and smoking.
Snyder was sentenced to 390 days for twice violating a protection order. The woman has since tried three times to have the protection order dismissed, but judges have declined to do so.
