TULSA, Okla. — It gives new meaning to the term strip search. A Tulsa, Okla. inmate waiting to be placed into a cell caused a commotion Saturday morning when he disrobed and ran through the jail stark naked, police said.
Anthony Larsen, 25, who had been busted on an open warrant for a moving violation, was found by officers cowering stark naked behind a telephone near a slew of female inmates around 7 a.m., the police report said. Several of the women at the David L. Moss Criminal Justice Center could be heard yelling “eww, he’s naked,” according to the report.
“He wasn’t acting rationally,” Maj. Shannon Clark told the Daily News. “It may have been drugs or mental illness.” When cops approached Larsen, he began streaking down the hallway, but was quickly tackled and tasered by police, Clark said.
“He made it about 50 feet,” Clark said. “It’s hard to do something inside a jail.”
