EVERETT, Wash. — An Everett man pleaded guilty Wednesday to stabbing his 9-year-old stepson with a fork then binding him with duct tape.

Steven Williams made the plea in Snohomish County Superior Court and was sentenced to 17 months in prison followed by 12 months of probation, said Snohomish County deputy prosecutor Matt Hunter.

The charges stem from an April incident in which the 9-year-old boy told Everett police that Williams stabbed him with a fork, then left him tied up in duct tape until he was able to make his escape.
