DANNEMORA, N.Y. — A maximum-security prison in New York near the Canadian border remains on partial lockdown four days after a fight broke out among 20 inmates, according to The Associated Press.
Corrections officers say inmates fought in the main yard of the Clinton Correctional Facility on Friday night. COs were able to stop the fight by firing several warning shots into the air.
Sharp weapons were found in the yard after the fight.
Ten inmates suffered injuries. The prison was locked down as officers conducted a thorough search of the facility. Inmates are only allowed out of their cells for meals. All other programming remains suspended, according to the article.
Inmates involved in the fight will be disciplined.
