MARICOPA COUNTY, Ariz. — The new sheriff of Washoe County, Nevada, recently sought advice from current Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio.
The Reno Gazette-Journal reports that Chuck Allen requested a meeting with Arpaio while on a post-election vacation to Arizona.

“I’ve always had an interest in wanting to meet Sheriff Arpaio,” Allen said. “We just did some story sharing and some networking. It was just a fun afternoon with the sheriff in Phoenix after a very busy and hectic campaign season.”
Allen says he has no intention of replicating Arpaio’s immigration policies, but only that he had a longstanding interest in the sheriff.
