Ark. inmate charged after assaulting CO and spitting on two others

An inmate faces three new felony charges after assaulting a correctional officer and spitting on two others at the Southwest Arkansas Community Correction Center.

According to Arkansas Online, Troy O’Guinn, punched CO Robert Richardson in the face as Richardson was trying to break up a fight between two inmate last month.

During the same incident, O’Guinn also spit in the face of adviser Terrance Blakemore who was trying to restrain O’Guinn at the time.

A few days later, O’Guinn also spit on correctional officer William Rice, who was handing him a roll of tissue.

As he was booked into county jail, O’Guinn was photographed wearing a spit guard.

He has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault on a correction or law enforcement officer and a single ount of second-degree battery.
