ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. — A man who worked as a cook in an Orange County, Calif. jail was sentenced to nine months in jail for assaulting two female inmates working in the kitchen, according to The Los Angeles Times.
Prosecutors said James Arroyo touched the breasts of an inmate after following her into a closet. He was also charged with cornering another woman in a storage room and forcing him to kiss her, according to reports.
He pleaded guilty to four misdemeanor counts including sexual battery involving the inmates he supervised in the county jail.
He was sentenced to 270 days in jail and five years of probation. Arroyo must also register as a sex offender.
